All of these products are made in Pawtucket, Rhode Island by Colonial Mills, Inc., a company that makes gorgeous, traditional braided rugs. A couple of years ago, they began using fabric designed by Lynette Jensen of Thimbleberries to make a line of rugs, baskets, totes, and bowls which are wonderful additions to homes that love quilts. Quilt in a Bag sells the large baskets (12" x 18" with handles) at the large quilt shows only, but we have added the tote bags and nesting bowls to our online store.
All of these items are made exactly like the rugs. The rug-weight fabric is braided and wrapped around an inside cord, then the rows are stitched together with a heavy monofilament thread. They are very sturdy.
The tote bags are 16" x 14" x 4", and the nesting bowls are a set of three that are 9", 8", and 7" in diameter, and 3" to 5" high.
